  1. What is being done to support kinship families?

    • Hi, Betty.

The Health Care Consent Act, which is the applicable act for health rights, states that there is no age of consent as long as they can understand and appreciate the information about the treatment/medication. This applies to all children whether they are in residential settings such as group homes or in kin/foster care. This information is important for all children from in and out of care.

Thank you for the question and we hope that you continue to follow us! We will be rolling out more information on a weekly basis! And we would be more than happy to supply you with the factsheets and the booklets when they are available as prints.
